Ms. Sanford's PACE students at Ackerman Elementary School did a Halloween word search, crossword puzzle, and a creative writing activity where students had to persuade people to stay at their haunted hotel. Then they created “Monstore Maps” where students were challenged to map out a store for the monsters where each room was a different perimeter. #teamAES

Mrs. Chase and Mrs. White’s class created a LEGO pumpkin to partner with FIX THAT TRUCK. Students painted their pumpkin, created a poster, created/recreated the garage, and created vehicles for the garage.

Weir Elementary students are tasting tomatoes from the school garden. Different grades have been growing items in the garden. We are so excited to see some of the fruit of staff and student work in the school garden!

Mr. Black's Construction/Carpentry students went to AES to read to all of the first-grade students. A special thank you to Mrs. Kelly and the wonderful first grade staff for the opportunity to share with the students about careers in construction and items they made this year.



Sports Medicine and Health Science students had a fun time in class completing a Pumpkinectomy while using sterile technique and their PPE. Students created some really cool pumpkin designs!


Members of the Choctaw County SkillsUSA chapter attended the fall leadership conference in Vicksburg recently. Students attended a variety of breakout sessions focusing on the SkillsUSA essential elements, business/college expo, STEM, and communication.

As part of the community helper unit, pre-k and kindergarten students visited the bakery to learn how bread is made, stored, and shipped.
