4th grade PACE at FCE celebrated National Thank a Mail Carrier Day by completing critical thinking activities and writing thank you postcards to our mailman, Mr. Sammy. The highlight of the day was finishing up our Pringles Challenge and seeing whose Pringle was packaged effectively enough to survive a trip through the postal system.

FCE fifth graders were rewarded for meeting their goals with hot chocolate and donuts!


The Chargers held an archery match against Kosciusko and Nanih Waiya on Thursday afternoon. Top shooters were
Bella Juarez 251
Riley Sheedy 240 and the top shooter out of all teams was Hanna Clare Huffman with a score of 276 out of a possible 300.





Coach Young introduced archery to 4th-6th graders at WES today.


An individual at Weir Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19. Contact tracing has been completed and all close contacts have been notified. If you have not received a call from the school, your child was not identified as a close contact. Thank you for your support and understanding throughout these difficult times.

BASKETBALL REMINDER
The final regular season home game for the Chargeras and Lady Chargers will be tomorrow night. The Lady Chargers will tip off at 6:00 with the Chargers playing at 7:30. Please come out and support our athletes and coaches. You must have a voucher to purchase a ticket.

Mrs. Lisa’s and Mrs. Margie’s PreK students at Ackerman Elementary School pretended to be paleontologists today. They chiseled away at dinosaur eggs and hatched their own dinosaurs. Then, each child found his/her dinosaur name on the information sheet and learned more information about it. In PreK, messy hands and smiles mean they had FUN! #teamAES

Mrs. Lisa’s and Mrs. Margie’s PreK students at Ackerman Elementary learned about Groundhog’s Day 2021. The students watched a video of Punxsutawney Phil being woken up to predict the weather, read a Scholastic Weekly Reader about shadows, and they made their own groundhogs. The students took the groundhogs outside to see if they could see the shadows. #teamAES

Groundhog Day meant researching and reporting on Groundhog Days through the years, STEM projects, and Legoman shadow challenges for FCE/WES 5th grade PACE students.


Ackerman Elementary School - Spring Pictures are February 4th. The school received order forms today (Tuesday), and they will be sent home today. Money and the form must be returned in order to take pictures on Thursday. #teamAES
