1st Grade first Science Experiment. Students were learning about the process of a science experiment and how they are conducted. Students had to predict what would happen to mm's when they were put into water.

2nd Grade is still studying plants and bugs - to find out how they help each other. 2nd Grade spent time researching worms, preparing the dirt work, and writing out their hypothesis. What they want to find out is if the worms will help their plants grow. We will see.

Last Thursday, 2nd Grade students were prepping for Friday Science. They were going over safety rules, and how to conduct an experiment. They were watching a science video when Mr. Blaine came in. The students told him what they had learned about safety, and Mr. Blaine engaged them in conversation about the scientific method for experimenting. He shared an experiment he did with the class.

Last Monday, 9/11, 2nd Grade students learned about 911 and their community heroes. 2nd Grade salutes all of the heroes who make sure they are safe and protected.

Culinary Arts students traveled to the Choctaw Nursing and Rehabilitation Center to demonstrate how to make homemade ice cream in a bag. Residents helped measure ingredients and shake the ice cream until it froze. Students then fixed each resident a custom sundae.
